all moved and open for business
So we're all moved in, and mostly unpacked (except, of course, for the three boxes of Star Trek paperbacks that have moved three times and haven't been unpacked for - what- ten years?), and except for what is going to be the jewelry studio that husband and i are going to share, which should be interesting. He's been wanting a room inside to set up a carving station, as opposed to a hard-to-keep-warm garage shop, which is not very conducive to creative work.
This is the most generic and non descript looking place i have ever lived! And i don't actually care, at this point, which is an odd change for me, but it feels kind of restful. It's a U-shaped duplex with the two garages making the bottom of the U. It's all boxy and linear, but strangely comfortable, actually, maybe because it's designed to be no frills kind of funtional. Three small bedrooms, which makes for a nice division of functions- actual bedroom, computer-business room, and jewelry studio - and a huge living area, with a fireplace, that's big enough to set up my sewing machine. So, we have enough space to do the things we want to do, and be comfortable doing them.
I opened an account on etsy! I'm really excited about that, but i don't have anything listed yet. I'll post on that when i do. :)
