After two days of driving, Husband reached the area around Quartzite last night, without incident. most of the first day he was driving through snow at around 30 m.p.h.. No problem reaching him with the cell phone. So far, so good. Thanks to a heads-up from
cluegirl i knew about Mercury going retrograde the day before he left, and was able to give him Wise Counsel about sticking to routes he knows and to curb the inpulse to go exploring alternative unknown routes, at which he got a sneery look on his face, but knowing him, and the fact that his trip is incident free so far, it sank in anyway. It helped that i used the example of the time last year when we missed an exit and ended up in Las Vegas, and had to drive around for
two hours before we found the correct freeway entrance to get us where we wanted to go. And that was two hours of driving in circles, asking for and receiving directions that were just wrong or so ambiguous they did us no good, from
cops even, whom one would expect to know these things! Now that was a classic Mercury retrograde type experience! his plan was to spend today at the show in Quartzite, and then on to Tucson tomorrow. It's early days yet, and there are still so many things that could go pear shaped. I think the real challenge will be around money spending decisions.
I want to spend the next few days catching up on journaling,(must have more icons, and do a list of interests, friend more people) leaving feedback for people, uploading pics to photobucket and spamming you all with kitty pics. This means not so much working on the computer. It's hard, sometimes, when you're self employed and work at home, to remember that you actually
live there, too. I'm catching up on just living. I did nothing today but stay home wearing a comfortable old hippy skirt, fixing good food for myself, a bit of housework and laundry, and watching Order of the Phoenix on DVD.
I did go out and walk around the yard and checked out the daffodils i planted last fall, which are poking up about an inch. YAY! Hopefully the squirrels and nutria will leave them alone.
